Last June, Moline Christian Church was struck by lightning early in the morning and the church and food pantry burnt to the ground, leaving only ashes behind. After rebuilding, the congregation at Moline Christian asked us to install new pews for them as well as some other church furniture. We were pleased to help the Moline Christian Church rebuild.
Moline is home to the oldest swinging bridge in Kansas and is quite the sight to see. Coming up in just a few weeks is the Moline Crazy Days, a town festival complete a rodeo, dance, and plenty of food and good times for all.
In Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist said “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” While loss from fire is difficult to rebuild from, our work to rebuild after the storm and destruction is a baptism in the Lord and an affirmation of our faith. As the Bible tells us, we need to keep striving to bring the Word to others and not let worldly trials get in our way.
Part of our mission is to help churches fill worldly needs so they can pursue doing good work and passing the Word to others. We love working for the Lord this way and helping churches rebuild after tough times as well as help breathe life into churches that need new church pews. If your church has suffered from a fire and is in the rebuilding process, contact us and we can help.
