In late November 2023, the weather in Northeast Oklahoma ranged from chilly to downright cold. Seeking a break from the cold, our fearless leader, Rex, decided to embrace the sun and generously volunteered to travel to Sunny Bartow, Florida. He successfully persuaded Axe, a former team member from Born Again Pews, to accompany him on this mission. Together, they embarked on a nearly 40-hour round trip to St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
The resilient community at St. Mark faced a significant setback in 2022 when Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc, causing severe damage, including a collapsed ceiling that ruined their pews. Fortunately, we were honored to be selected to construct their new pews. Our dedicated team worked diligently, crafting and installing 20 exquisite 10-foot-long fully upholstered style 2005 pews. These stunning creations featured bookracks and elegantly engraved cross ends, wrapped in beautiful Shire Scarlet fabric. The finishing touch included a rich English Chestnut stain and a durable Gloss Lacquer coating for a lasting, impeccable finish.
Witnessing the transformative journey, as evident in the before and after photos, fills us with immense joy. We are grateful to have played a role in the church’s recovery.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the congregation and leaders of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church for entrusting us with the task of being their church pew builders. Our sincere prayer is that these meticulously crafted pews will serve the community’s needs for years to come, contributing to the spiritual journey of the congregation and bringing abundant blessings to the entire community. Bless you all.
