Church Pew Installation in Durham, NC – March 2026
This past March turned into a productive and exciting trip for our team at Born Again Pews. Jason, one of our skilled installers, and I (Doug—usually the one behind the computer) hit the road to North Carolina with a dual purpose in mind.
As part of our continued commitment to growth and innovation, we recently invested in a brand-new CNC machine. To make the most of the trip, we traveled to Mooresville, NC for a full week of hands-on training, learning how to program and maximize the capabilities of this new equipment. While there, we also took the opportunity to complete a church pew installation project—making it a truly worthwhile journey.
Custom Pew Installation at Charity Christian Fellowship Durham
After wrapping up our training, we traveled a couple of hours east to Durham, NC, where we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful congregation at Charity Christian Church. Jason and I got right to work assembling and installing 18 of our custom-built Style 2001 pews.
Each pew was carefully crafted with both beauty and durability in mind, featuring:
- Built-in bookracks for added convenience
- Solid red oak construction for long-lasting strength
- Reinforced ¾” plywood seat and back framing for added stability
- Upholstered seating in Grace Cadet fabric, offering a warm, neutral tone that complements the sanctuary
Every detail was thoughtfully executed to ensure consistency, comfort, and a seamless fit within the space.
Finish That Brings Warmth and Longevity
To highlight the natural character of the wood, each pew was finished in a rich Golden Oak stain, bringing warmth and depth to the sanctuary. A pre-catalyzed lacquer gloss topcoat was then applied, providing:
- Superior durability for everyday use
- Long-term resistance to wear
- Easy maintenance for years to come
The final result is a timeless, polished look that enhances the worship environment while standing up to daily use.
