St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerville, SC Kids Pews
Born Again Pews recently had the opportunity to build a unique set of custom church kids pews for St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerville, South Carolina. This project was a little different from the typical sanctuary seating we manufacture because these pews were designed specifically for children.
Four-Foot Pews Built Just for Kids
Each pew was built at just 4 feet long, making them appropriately sized for the children who will be using them. Although they may be smaller than our standard church pews, we certainly did not build them lighter or cheaper.
These pews were constructed to handle the kind of daily use that comes with children. In other words, they needed to be rugged.
Every pew was built from solid oak, including the seats and backs. That gives these smaller pews exceptional strength and durability while maintaining the traditional appearance of quality church furniture.
Solid Oak Construction Throughout
One of the standout features of this project is the amount of solid wood used in the construction. The pews feature:
- Solid oak seats
- Solid oak backs
- Style 2005 pew ends
- Individual book racks
- A warm Golden Oak stain
- 4-foot overall pew lengths
The Golden Oak finish highlights the natural grain of the oak and gives the pews a warm, traditional appearance that fits beautifully within a church setting.
Small Pews with Full-Size Durability
Furniture designed for children sometimes gets treated as temporary or lightweight. We approached these pews differently.
They were built using the same attention to construction and durability that goes into our full-size church pews. Children can be a little tougher on furniture than the average Sunday morning congregation, so these pews were made to withstand years of climbing in, sitting down, scooting around, grabbing book racks and everything else kids somehow manage to do to furniture.
The result is a set of kid-sized church pews built with full-size strength.
