True Gospel Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC

Born Again Pews recently had the privilege of building and installing a beautiful set of custom church pews for True Gospel Baptist Church in Bryson City, North Carolina. This project featured a traditional combination of solid oak craftsmanship, comfortable upholstery and several upgraded details that gave the finished sanctuary a warm and timeless appearance.

18 Custom-Built 12-Foot Church Pews

For this project, we built 18 custom church pews, each measuring 12 feet long. The pews were constructed using our popular Style 3001 pew ends, a classic design that works well in both traditional and contemporary church interiors.

Each pew was finished in a Natural stain, allowing the character and grain of the oak to remain the star of the show. Natural finishes are an excellent choice for churches that want a bright, clean appearance while still enjoying the warmth and beauty of real wood.

Upgraded Oak Veneer Backs

One of the special upgrades chosen for these pews was oak veneer on the backsides of the pew backs.

This gives the rear of each pew a finished wood appearance rather than the standard upholstered backside. Because the backs of church pews are highly visible throughout a sanctuary, this upgrade adds an extra level of craftsmanship and creates a beautifully finished appearance from every direction.

Combined with the Natural stain and Style 3001 ends, the oak veneer backs gave these pews a clean, traditional look that should remain attractive for many years.

Shire Gettysburg Upholstery

For the upholstery, True Gospel Baptist Church selected Shire Gettysburg fabric.

The rich tone of the Gettysburg fabric pairs beautifully with Natural-finished oak and provides a comfortable, durable seating surface for the congregation. The combination of warm wood tones and upholstered seating created a sanctuary that feels both welcoming and traditional.

Matching Choir Chairs - True Gospel

In addition to the 18 sanctuary pews, we also built two matching choir chairs.

Matching church furniture is a great way to create a consistent appearance throughout the sanctuary and platform area. These chairs were built and finished to complement the new pews, bringing the entire project together.

Custom Church Furniture Built for Your Sanctuary

Every church building is a little different, which is why we custom build our pews and church furniture to fit the needs of each congregation. Churches can select from numerous pew end styles, stain colors, fabrics, lengths and custom options to create seating that fits both their sanctuary and their style.
